6th Dec Nativity 230pm St Mary's Church, Lavant
7th Dec The Borrowers, Nuffield Theatre
8th Dec Christmas Dinner
9th Dec Carol Service. School finishes 12 noon.
Term Begins on Wednesday 4th January 2012.
Friday 9th December
The girls do not need to bring in their school bags on Friday. They do need to be smart as we will be going to the church for the carol service. Parents may collect their daughters from the church after the carol service. If your daughter will be collected by another parent, please let us know on Friday morning.
I wish all families a very Merry Christmas. I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
Junior Match Report
The last match of the term was played yesterday afternoon against Alton Convent school. The U11 A and B sides were looking forward to the game and were glad when the rain stopped. The B side started slowly but their play improved as the game went on. Scoring the goals was difficult but Alton seemed to have this skill well in hand. The final score was 12 goals to 4 to Alton. Rosie Woolley was voted the player of the match.
The U11A match was played at a very fast pace. Lavant went ahead 2 - 0 in the first few minutes but Alton soon got into their rhythm and went ahead 4 - 2. Lavant fought back to draw 4 all at quarter time. After this Lavant dominated the game with excellent patches of play. Chloe Wildsmith was outstanding at Goal Defence and the opposition did not hesitate to name her as the player of the match.
