Superstar of the week

We have two superstars this week!  Both Drew and May played beautifully in the Chamber Concert on Tuesday after school.  It takes courage and focus to play an instrument in front of parents, older pupils and staff.  The girls also sat beautifully and listened to the performances of the senior girls.  Well done both of you.

Dates for Christmas Activities

2nd Dec 2pm Christmas Fayre - please collect your daughter from her classroom anytime from 2pm.  Girls are then able to go home once they have been to the fayre.

3rd Dec Associated Board of Music Examinations

5th Dec Dress Rehearsal for Nativity

6th Dec Nativity 230pm St Mary's Church, Lavant

7th Dec The Borrowers, Nuffield Theatre

8th Dec Christmas Dinner

9th Dec Carol Service.  School finishes 12 noon.

Artworks

The Year 6 girls had a wonderful time at the Artworks studio.  This week, Year 6 will do their 2nd session on Monday morning and Year 5 will be in the studio Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Cake Sales

A huge thank you to all who brought cakes in for the cake sales.   Well done to the house captains for organising your houses.

Homework Club

There will be no homework club on Wednesday as it is the boarders Christmas party that evening.

Junior Netball

An U10 and U9/8 team played against the Prebendal school yesterday afternoon. The younger team struggled against a very good side in the first two quarters and they trailed by 8 goals to nil. The second half saw Lavant starting to play really well and they scored six goals with Prebendal not able to score any. Olivia scored some brilliant goals from a long distance and Hollie linked well with Harriet in the centre and around the circle edge. Unfortunately time ran out for Lavant with Prebendal winning by 8 goals to 6.

The U10 team played some excellent netball and worked very well together. They dominated the game from start to finish winning comfortably by 13 goals to 1. Mariella was the player of the match.
