Book Fair

Thank you to all who supported the book fair.  We accumulated £400.00 worth of books in commission for our fiction libraries.

Summer Concert

This is at 2pm on the 6th July 2010, involving all of the Junior School.  Mrs Taylor has asked that the girls wear blues and greens, T-shirts, shorts, skirts, etc without large logos please.  Parents are welcome. 

Year 6 Leavers' Dinner

Senior School Technology Day

Year 6 girls are invited to take part in the Senior School Technology Day on Wednesday, 7th July and should wear home clothes that day.

Match Report

The U11 and U10 teams played their last games of the year yesterday afternoon against Windlesham school.  In the U11 match Windlesham batted first and Lavant fielded well to keep their score to 4 and a half.  Lavant were on good batting form and they were more adventurous with their running.  They scored 11 and a half at half time.  Windlesham were more confident in the second innings and scored a good 7 and a half rounders.  Lavant kept up their batting and scored 9 rounders to win by 20 and a half to 12.  Windlesham chose Poppy as their player of the match.

In the U10 game the teams were very even with Lavant leading by half a rounder.  They scored even better in the second innings and won the game by 19 and a half to 16 and a half.  Windlesham chose Mariella for the best hit of the match.  Well done to all the girls who have played for school this summer.

A swimming match was held yesterday against Prebendal school.  The following girls won their races; Chloe and Amy 1 length front crawl, Emily 1 length back crawl, Victoire and Poppy 2 lengths front crawl, Amy 2 lengths breast stroke, Victoire and Poppy 2 lengths back crawl.  Lavant won all 4 relay races.  The result of the U10 match was a close win for Lavant by 93 points to 91.  The U11's also won their match by 111 points to 76.  The overall result was a very good win for Lavant by 204 to 167.

Junior Sports Day, Tuesday, 29th  June at 2.00pm.  U11-U10/9 Swimming at home against Great Ballard, Arundale and Seaford on Wednesday, 30th June at 2.00pm.  Swimming Gala, 5th July, 2.00pm.

Reminder

Thursday, 8th July, end of term, 12 noon finish.  The Church Service will be at St Mary's Church, East Lavant, at 10.45am for Years 1-6.
