For those girls planning on camping at school week beginning 21st, please could you return your slips and money by Wednesday so that we can inform the kitchen of the extra meals needed.
Assemblies
Due to the numerous exams taking place in various location throughout the school, we are unable to have an assembly on Friday 18th June. The following Friday we will all be at the beach, so therefore the next assembly will be on Friday 2nd July. This will be Year 6's final assembly and I would like to encourage parents of our Year 6 to attend.
Match Report
The U11 team played in a triangular match against Arundale and Seaford yesterday afternoon in glorious sunshine.
Lavant played Arundale first and although their hitting was not as powerful as it has been they managed to score 6 rounders. Arundale then went into bat and Lavant's fielding was on top form. Great catches from Amy, Poppy and Beth were followed by very tight fielding and Arundale were all out in three minutes scoring only half a rounder. Arundale then played Seaford and they had a very exciting 5 all draw. Lavant lost the toss again and went into bat scoring a good 7 rounders. Seaford were very determined to hit well and Lavant's decision making deserted them at times. Seaford were scoring lots of half rounders and as the time ran out the scores were very close. Seaford were one behind with the last batter and there was a lot of pressure on the bowler not to give away half rounders. Luckily she didn't and Lavant held on to win 7 - 6.
Next Match
