Match Report
The U10 and U11 Rounders teams played against Portsmouth High school on Southsea Common on Wednesday afternoon. The U10 team fielded first and the home side scored 6 Rounders. Lavant played quite well despite some lapses of concentration between posts. They went into the lead by 7-6 at the interval. Portsmouth then scored 5 Rounders in the second innings to Lavant's 4 1/2 and therefore took the match by the narrowest of margins 11 1/2 to 11. The U11 team were consistent with their batting and fielding and were not in danger in either innings. They won comfortably by 17 - 10. Thursday Night activities are being very well supported by the Junior School. The Senior girls have been very impressed with the Junior batting skills so well done everyone!!
Next Week's Match
Next week the U10 team are away to Pennthorpe and the U11s have a triangular against Oakwood and Great Ballard at 2pm.
