Remembrance Day at Lavant House
Remembrance Day at Lavant House
Some of the youngest Lavant House pupils learnt the importance of Remembrance Day and how to pay their respects by visiting a nearby war memorial in Bosham.
The Year 2 girls wore their poppies with pride as they looked at the many names of fallen war soldiers inscribed on the memorial's stone and at the poppy wreaths laid at its foot. The children were asked to reflect on their experience through drawings and sketches.
Lavant House believes that even the smallest children should recognise the sacrifice that soldiers made for their country both in the world wars and in the wars still happening today.
