GCSE SUCCESS AGAIN AT LAVANT HOUSE

Girls coming into Lavant House last Thursday to receive their GCSE results could not have been more delighted! 85% of Year 11 received 5 A*-C grades, and over 55% received A*-C grades including Maths, English, Science and a modern foreign language. Although several girls received 8 or 9 straight A* or A grades Headmistress, Mrs Kate Bartholomew, praised the efforts of all of the girls and their teachers. "We are a non selective school and yet consistently achieve grades commensurate with or exceeding our selective neighbours. All of our girls benefit from small classes and the outstanding teaching and care of their teachers. The contribution of our parents is not to be underestimated too - we ensure a close home/school dialogue. Well done one and all!"
