'A' LEVEL SUCCESS AGAIN FOR LAVANT HOUSE GIRLS

Girls in the Upper Sixth at Lavant House were delighted with their 'A' results! The school has a long standing track record of girls achieving their first choice university places and this year was no exception, despite the unprecedented pressure for university places. Our 100% pass rate at 'A' level remains firmly in place and 94% girls achieved A* to C grades with 65% achieving A* to B grades. University destinations this year include Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Jesus College, Oxford, History at Swansea, Psychology at Oxford Brooks, Art at Winchester and Sociology at Wolverhampton. Headmistress Mrs Kate Bartholomew praised the hardworking, organised and focused efforts of both girls and staff. "Consistent success at 'A' level and university does not happen by accident and we are all absolutely thrilled for the girls".
