Arundel Castle 13th May 2011
Topic work really came to life for the girls in years 1 and 2 at Lavant House when they visited Arundel Castle recently. After exploring the castle, they donned chain mail, tried on jesters' outfits and dressed as peasants as they got into role to find out more about life in Medieval times. They were amazed to learn that children started learning to fire a crossbow when they were as young as seven years of age.
