World Book Day
Day of stories at Lavant House will buy books from Waterstones for Chichester Women's Refuge
The girls at Lavant House kept to their tradition of the last few years and used World Book Day to raise money to buy books for the mothers and children living in Chichester's Women's Refuge.
£320.00 was raised and staff at Waterstones of Chichester will be making an appropriate selection of books for the current residents at the refuge. The bookshop, as in the past, will also be contributing to the books purchased.
The girls had fun raising the money by dressing up as characters from novels, by paying for tickets for a coffee shop style lunch, with readings from their favourite stories and with improvised group story telling.
