Birthday Celebrations 11th November 2010
Lavant House School celebrated its 58th Birthday on 11 November. The celebrations commenced at morning Assembly with the oldest and the youngest pupil, Natalie Nelson,(18 yrs) and Max Buckley, (3 yrs), blowing the candles out on a magnificent cake shaped in the design of an Ice Rink. More excitement was to be had when an indoor Ice Rink was erected for all the school to enjoy throughout the afternoon and evening. Despite the stormy weather conditions outside parents and friends joined in the fun after school with warm gluwien, hot dogs and mince pies being provided by the Parents and Friends Association. Headmistress, Kate Bartholomew, said, 'It was such a delight to see girls and boys of all ages enjoying this treat. I am sure that Dora Green, the school's Founder, would have thoroughly approved'.
