Our Aims
Aims and Ethos
- To provide within a caring community, based on Christian principles, an academic education for girls which is a challenging and positive experience, and which will enable each individual to develop her abilities to the full and acquire a set of personal values
- To provide individual and personal attention, creating an emotional and intellectual environment in which each girl can achieve a worthwhile measure of success and acquire confidence and self esteem.
- To prepare girls for the challenges of their adult lives, particularly in a rapidly changing society where career paths and the balance between work and family will be continuously reassessed.

Objectives
- To provide:
a) a broad and balanced curriculum for all pupils which includes opportunities for
spiritual and moral development
b) a stimulating variety of extra-curricular activities
c) teaching staff with the expertise, experience, and interests to inspire girls with
enthusiasm for their subject and to act as role models
d) effective administrative support
e) suitable and up to date equipment and facilities
f) well maintained buildings and grounds
- To develop:
a) ways of making each individual capable of success and rewarding that
achievement
b) a motivating sense of personal responsibility in each girl for her own academic
progress
c) in each pupil an understanding of her place and responsibilities in the
community, both of school and of the wider world
d) a strong feeling of pride in the school, shared by pupils, staff and parents
