Creativity Gym & Dance Display

Lavant House Girls Get Creative

In February Lavant House hosted 'Creativity', an evening of gym and dance displays.  All the girls in Year 7 - 9 were involved with some performances from Year 10 and 11 girls.  The evening was a fantastic success with 125 parents, friends and staff in attendance.  After the gymnastic routines which were very exciting and used the school's extensive gymnastic equipment, each age group were given a unique brief for their dances ranging from the Olympics to musicals.  The show proved to be a great success with excellent feedback from the parents, staff and girls themselves.  Miss Claire Cawte, Head of Physical Education at Lavant House, said "Creativity is the first show I have ever put on and although it has been hard work I have enjoyed every moment.  The girls made me very proud and I was taken back by how co-operative, focused and committed the girls were to producing the best show they could."  Clearly this will not be the last gym and dance show at Lavant House.
