Overseas Sports Tours and Holidays
We arrange a variety of sporting trips, holidays and activities for the girls, both home and abroad.
From time to time, the Modern Languages and Art departments may take older girls to places such as Paris or Barcelona to practice their languages and appreciate the culture and art of our European neighbours or to visit a Christmas Market. There will be a trip to Paris in October 2010.
A ski trip is organised every 2 or 3 years. In 2008 they went to Courchevel, in 2005 to Les Deux Alpes and in 2011 a trip to Colorado is planned.
The PE department takes teams on tour both in the UK and abroad. In recent years Netball tours have been to Malta, Cyprus, Barbados and in April 2010, South Africa.
In July 2007, and again in 2008, girls enjoyed exhausting and exhilarating trips to a multisports activity centre in southern France. Pupils stayed in luxury chalet tents and learnt a wide range of new skills, particularly in watersports. Both trips were truly memorable with each pupil developing her abilities, but most of all, her confidence. Due to the trips popularity it will be running again August 2010.
