Moving on to Sixth Form
We are very proud of our small Sixth Form, the wide range of 'A' level courses and leadership opportunities available and our success in helping girls to go to their first choice of university. We take great care in helping girls select sensible 'A' level subject combinations and this process begins in Year Eleven.
All Sixth Form applicants are interviewed by the Head of Sixth Form and attend a Sixth Form Taster Day. This involves presentations from local university admissions tutors and the chance to try sample 'A' level lessons, possibly in subjects not previously considered. A Parents' Information Evening outlines the university application process for parents and girls, and subject staff are on hand to discuss 'A' level options.
Girls joining the Sixth Form from other schools are encouraged to spend a day with our Sixth Formers.
