Welcome to the Junior School

It is apparent from the moment you arrive that Junior Lavant House is unique. We invest time in getting to know each of our pupils and feel it is important to create a stimulating environment that supports our broad and varied curriculum.

Junior Lavant House is situated in four buildings on the Lavant House site, separated by a good size playground with its own willow room, playhouse, climbing frames and other outdoor play equipment. Part of the wider school community, the location and layout of the Junior School gives it a clear identity of its aim, while enabling junior girls to benefit from the use of many senior school facilities for instance the gym, tennis and netball courts, sports pitches, music facilities as well as the Art Studio and science laboratories for the older girls.

The outdoor environment is very important to our school life and we make full use of our beautiful rural location near Chichester, West Sussex. Our pupils are used to wearing wellies and are not afraid of the mud!

Junior Lavant offers a superb start to your child's education. Traditional yet with a modern outlook, it has the advantage of providing a smooth transition to the larger Senior School in an environment where individuality is cherished.
